I can't tell you how happy I have gotten my sew-jo back. I have been looking forward each day to sew for my kiddos. And...drumroll...they love it! Yesterday I sewed up Peek-A-Boo Pattern Shop's V-neck Cardigan, dubbed the Party Cardi in my house. I used it as a two-fer for Kid's Clothes Week Day One. I'm naughty and sewed a second "Party Cardi" for Peek-A-Boo's sew-a-long and I am claiming it for Day Two of Kid's Clothes Week.
I just love this pattern. It's pretty quick and sews like butter on my serger. I can't tell you how much I love the feeling that I am sewing something modern and not "embarrassing" to my tween. I can remember when I used to think of home sewn clothes are just weird. They are truly what you make of them with the style of pattern and the fabric choices. Though I've sewn this for fun, it has spawned quite a few business requests. Guess they have to wait until Kid's Clothes Week is over because I am busy!
Though I spend my days doing applique and embroidery, I am trying to find the time to dabble in some of my other passions.
